Reading now

In progress now

Thud! by Terry Pratchett.

Recently finished

Red Side Story by Jasper Fforde.

I've been looking forward to reading this since I started getting to the end of its predecessor, Shades of Grey, uhm, last week. The second volume was better than the first in every way. Better writing. Bigger story. I'm looking forward to the third volume, and hope Fforde will write and release it.

The Stainless Steel Rat by Harry Harrison.

The book is 69 years old, but I never read it before. Find out more from Wikipedia and find the book itself from Project Gutenberg. It's a (criminally short) classic heist story, and it's fun.

Shades of Grey by Jasper Fforde.

It's very good. The ending is a heart-breaker, but there is a sequel, Red Side Story, and I'm looking forward to reading that. If you want to know more, perhaps an interview with the author about the book would suit you? And if you still want more after that, perhaps some more comments from the author would suit?

Listening to now

I know you're hurting, everyone is hurting, everyone is trying, you have got to try by Joshua Idehen

A superb album with Idehen's uplifting spoken word artistry in a collection of songs that remind me sonically of the big beat era. I like his music, and this album is fantastic! You can get it on Apple Music, but also on Bandcamp.
